Job Summary:

Hulu’s Content Partnerships team is seeking a Sr Content Partnerships Analyst who will be an exceptional addition to our team.  Reporting to the Director of Content Partnerships and working closely with the departmental SVP, the Sr Content Partnerships Analyst will support the strategic business and growth initiatives of Hulu’s linear offerings, with a focus on Hulu + Live TV. The ideal candidate both thinks big picture about the evolution of streaming television across pricing, packaging, and product, and wants to roll up their sleeves up to manage the day-to-day details of our growth tactics. This person has both analytical acumen and compelling storytelling skills, and is able to generate cross-functional support for strategic initiatives across a highly matrixed organization. They will have knowledge and be curious about advancing various streaming business models (linear, FAST, marketplace), and be energized by supporting a variety of special projects. Key responsibilities also include deal support and tracking team processes / progress. Finally, this person thinks big, learns quickly, and approaches everything with enthusiasm.

What You Will Do / Responsibilities

  • Growth Strategy and Analysis
    • Identify, develop, and generate executive buy-in for near-term subscriber growth opportunities for Hulu + Live TV, across pricing, packaging, promotion, and product
    • Work collaboratively across Finance, Product, Marketing, and Research to forecast DMVPD subscriber impact, gather requirements, and prioritize initiatives
    • Support go-to-market execution of growth tactics, such as discounting, upsell, and free trial
    • Maintain relationship and facilitate communication with Platform Distribution to scope reseller opportunities
  • Special Projects / Future Business Development Opportunities
    • Advance thinking, develop recommendations and materials for Hulu’s key near- and long-term special projects, with a focus on linear and add-ons (e.g., FAST, marketplace expansion)
    • Partner with Strategy and Finance teams on expansion opportunities across wider Direct-to-Consumer organization
  • Ongoing Business Planning Support
    • Assist on Hulu + Live TV’s annual budget process, in partnership with Finance – including comparing assumptions against contracts and advising on the impact of industry trends
    • Facilitate communication between Content Partnerships and Finance on long-range planning process, including strategizing and documenting requirements for scenario planning (e.g., packaging updates, rate assumptions, etc.)
  • Deal Support
    • Assist in financial analysis of DMVPD deals and creating top sheet summaries of rate escalators, total deal value, and variance to forecast.
    • Track deal workstreams across Legal, Product, Advertising, etc., and serve as liaison with LPMO when necessary.
  • Executive Presentations and Team Reporting
    • Assist the Director in creating executive presentations that highlight key issues, tradeoffs, and executional considerations for Hulu’s linear carriage deals, add-ons, and more
    • Develop frameworks that enable stakeholders to quickly understand topline impact and prioritization
    • Manage routine team reporting / tracking processes to improve visibility across workstreams, facilitate operational effectiveness

What to Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an analyst at a consulting firm or in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Skilled in G-Suite, particularly Google Sheets and Slides.
  • Proficiency in basic financial modeling / analysis, competitive research, and data analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills, especially in developing presentation materials.
  • Skilled at toggling between high-level strategy and go-to-market details
  • Ability to quickly get up-to-speed and thrive in an evolving and fast-paced environment, prioritizing and handling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Passion for entertainment, TV, and technology with knowledge of the evolution of the digital / media industries


The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $103,500.00 to $138,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
