Job Summary:

This role will be a critical position, partnering with the Sr Sales Manager Singapore & Malaysia as well as the Director Sales as we prepare to create magic at sea in Southeast Asia.  You will be a crucial part of establishing the sales distribution and sales engagement in the Singapore market  for the successful introduction and sustainment of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship Disney Adventure to sail from Singapore beginning in 2025.  

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION 
Sales will play a prominent role in the expansion. The Sales Manager Singapore will develop and maintain the sales distribution strategy for this territory.  You will have a strong network of travel partners and can determine which partners will be key to drive demand for the business. You will maintain these critical relationships working hand in hand across the organization to service their needs to ensure strong business delivery. 

This role will be responsible to lead the Sales engagement for Singapore possessing strong business acumen to identify business growth, outstanding negotiation skills and ability to prioritize focus to achieve goals. You will also act as an intermediary to support in market sales efforts across markets.  The role will work hand in hand with leadership to ensure clear market level engagement.  The role integrates with Sr Manager Marketing Strategy to ensure a cohesive marketing & sales approach in region. 
You should be an energetic, proactive, self-starter with experience working within a large-scale travel industry business. Candidates must work well in teams and possess the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES 
Performing the role with excellence includes being results oriented having strong strategic vision, proven relationship and influencing skills, strong business acumen, learning agility and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to navigate a complex launch on an accelerated timeline. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Lead complex sales work, understanding the requirements to drive effective overall sales strategy to achieve and exceed solid business results. 
  • Partner with leader to drive strategic planning, develop and execute sales strategies that achieve Disney Cruise line goals within Singapore.
  • Possess solid in market network to solidify distribution strategy, engage and activate key partners across OTA, Wholesalers, Travel Trade to achieve goals. 
  • Besides traditional travel trade knowledge in ecommerce and online travel development. Staying aware of consumer consumption habits to ensure presence. 
  • Ability to negotiate and optimize campaigns for greatest impact.
  • Achieve and exceed sales goals. Creating market presence in different trade channels, formulating business development initiatives to optimize market performance. 
  • Engage as a team to ensure achieve sales targets. 
  • Ample experience travel trade operations, requiring business acumen to identify business growth, provide focus and prioritization. 
  • Outstanding negotiating skills to manage priorities of accounts understanding the cost / benefits. 
  • Ensure ability to build and maintain sustainable relationships. 
  • Evaluate performance to determine strongest business contribution and calibrate to co-op marketing investment. 
  • Partner hand in hand with the Marketing teams to integrate for strongest market impact. 
  • Demonstrates maturity and ability to manage numerous stakeholders as well as efficiently work across time zones.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a leadership travel industry sales role. 
  • Previous work experience in large scale travel operation 
  • Keen understanding of the region. 
  • Significant experience in managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment reliant upon successful collaboration and integration of key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional knowledge of all facets travel industry sales. 
  • Skilled at building effective partner relationships and influencing peers, partners and leaders. 
  • Experience in establishing sales distribution, managing key partners and driving results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus superior professionalism 
  • Advanced presentation skills and proven track record of influencing executive audiences.
  • Skilled at understanding performance metrics to assess & optimize programs. 
  • Travel Industry experience required 
  • Ability to travel internationally. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 

PREFERRED EDUCATION 

  • MBA or strong business experience and background
